Privacy Policy | PAR-TEE

PAR-TEE Golf Simulator ("PAR-TEE", "we", or "the app") is a golf game for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and the choices you have. PAR-TEE has no account or login. You do not provide a name, email, or any personal identity to use it.

What we collect

Anonymous usage analytics. Via PostHog, we collect anonymous information about how the app is used (app launches, taps, which game modes and rounds you play, and settings you change) to understand and improve the app. This is tied only to a randomly generated, on-device identifier, not to your identity.
Diagnostics. Crash logs and performance data (e.g. launch time, hang rate, energy use) to find and fix problems.
Screen-recording for diagnostics. PostHog "session replay" may record anonymous, on-screen interactions to help diagnose issues. Sensitive fields are masked.

Stored in your own iCloud (not collected by us)

Your full game history and stats (every round, your per-mode bests, activity) sync through your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. This data lives in your private iCloud and the developer cannot access it; it is governed by Apple's privacy policy. The player names you type into the app are part of that private data.

Your launch monitor

Shot data comes from your own launch monitor and is processed on your device. A Garmin Approach R10 connects over Bluetooth, which is why the app asks for Bluetooth permission. An OpenFlight unit sends shots over your local Wi-Fi network, which is why the app asks for Local Network permission when you choose OPENFLIGHT. PAR-TEE only listens for the monitor you set up; it does not scan for or contact other devices on your network. Shot values stay on your device and in your own iCloud with your game history. Anonymous analytics record which monitor type you chose and whether it connected, never the shot values.

What we do NOT do

No advertising, and no advertising identifiers (no IDFA).
No tracking across other apps or websites, and no sharing with data brokers.
We do not sell your data.

Children's Privacy

PAR-TEE is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 (or the minimum digital-consent age set by their country, which some jurisdictions set as low as 13).

International users (EU, UK and others)

If you are in a region with data-protection laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK), you have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data. Where such laws apply, our basis for the limited, anonymous analytics is our legitimate interest in improving the app (or your consent where required). Our analytics provider, PostHog, may process this data on servers outside your country, including the United States. To exercise any right or ask a question, contact us at the email below.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves; the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.

Your choices and data deletion

You can turn analytics off at any time in the app, under SETTINGS in the ABOUT tab.

PAR-TEE has no account, so usage analytics are anonymous and not tied to your identity. Your game history and stats live in your own iCloud and can be removed by deleting the app or clearing its iCloud data on your device. To revoke consent or ask any privacy question, contact us at the email below.
